A scoreless game between Lexington and Asheville was suspended in the top of the third inning when heavy rain and hail poured down on McCormick Field.
The two teams will complete the game at 5:05 p.m. on Saturday and play through its completion (9 innings), before playing a seven-inning game in the nightcap. Right hander Zach Grimmett (0-0, 0.93 ERA) will start Game 1 for Lexington, while Asheville counters with righty Nick Schnaitmann (3-3, 5.79 ERA). In game 2, Lexington will send lefty Colton Pitkin (0-1, 3.00 ERA) to the mound, while Asheville answers with righty Alan DeRatt (0-0, 2.31 ERA).
The decision to call Friday night's game came after a 1:16 minute delay.
