Miguel Arrendell homered, doubled and singled, and drove in three runs as the Lexington Legends ran their winning streak to four games with a 7-2 win over the Delmarva Shorebirds Friday night at Applebee's Park.

Arrendell led off the bottom of the first inning with his first home run of the season, giving the Legends a 1-0 lead.

Delmarva tied the game in the top of the third inning on a single by Garabez Rosa, a walk to Gary Helmick and a run-scoring single by Kieron Pope.

The Legends regained the lead in the bottom of the third. Arrendell singled, advanced to third on a hit-and-run single by Jiovanni Mier, and came home on a two-out single by J.D. Martinez.

Grant Hogue's RBI single in the fourth extended the Legends' lead to 3-1, and Kody Hinze drove in a run with a base hit in the fifth to make the score 4-1. The RBI was Hinze's 59th of the year, which leads the South Atlantic League.

Delmarva cut the lead to two in the top of the sixth on a double by Pope and a single by Tyler Stampone. The score remained 4-2 until the bottom of the eighth. A single by Aaron Bray, a force play, a base hit by Jordan Comadena and an error by Rosa at shortstop loaded the bases. Arrendell doubled to left field, scoring two runs and sending Hogue to third. Mier followed with a sacrifice fly to score Hogue with the game's final run.

Lexington starter Luis Cruz (2-0) pitched the first five and one-third innings and got the win. Matt Hobgood (3-6) was the starter and loser for Delmarva. Arcenio Leon relieved Cruz in the sixth and finished the game to earn his third save.

The Legends will go for the sweep of the three-game series Saturday night at Applebee's Park. Game time is 7:05 p.m.
