
Legends Open Seven-Game Homestand Friday

Fireworks, four-legged fans, morning baseball for Education Days, and the always-popular Thirsty Thursday will be part of a seven-game home stand that starts Friday when the Lexington Legends take on the Asheville Tourists at Whitaker Bank Ballpark.
"This home stand offers a lot of variety and fun for our fans," said Legends General Manager Andy Shea, "and Education Days always bring additional excitement and energy to the ballpark. We're really looking forward to these games."
The schedule:
Friday, May 13: Legends vs. Asheville, 7:05 p.m. Friday is Blue Grass Energy Night, featuring The Last American Cowboy, known for his high-energy rope twirling act. There will be fireworks after the game, presented by Central Kentucky Ford Dealers.
Saturday, May 14: Legends vs. Asheville, 7:05 p.m. "Bark in the Park" night is presented by IncrediPet and ABC 36. Dogs will be allowed in the general admission and lawn areas only. All well-behaved, non-aggressive dogs on leashes are welcome. There is a minimum one-dollar donation for each dog to enter the park. All proceeds from those donations will go to the Lexington Humane Society. Another highlight of Bark in the Park night: performances by America's Best Frisbee Dogs.
Sunday, May 15: Legends vs. Asheville, 2:05 p.m. It's a JIF Kids Club Sunday, and all Kids Club members may buy a box seat ticket for only two dollars.
Monday, May 16: Legends vs. Asheville, 10:05 a.m. Education Day: The Legends will welcome groups of students from schools throughout central and eastern Kentucky.
Tuesday, May 17: Legends vs. West Virginia, 7:05 p.m. KRAFT Singles Tuesday Night Tickets: Fans who bring a KRAFT Singles package wrapper may buy one ticket, get one free. Visit kraftsingles.com for more information. Exclusions apply. Also, Tuesday is 34-cent hot dog night, as the Legends and Central Kentucky Ford Dealers recognize the Ford F-150, the best-selling vehicle in America for 34 consecutive years. Tuesday is also "Keep It Real" night, presented by Blue Grass Prevention Center.
Wednesday, May 18: Legends vs. West Virginia, 10:05 a.m. Education Day.
Thursday, May 19: Legends vs. West Virginia, 7:05 p.m. Thursday night is Penn Station Thirsty Thursday, when beer and Pepsi products will sell for $1 each.
