Legends Fall Hard in Austin

CEDAR PARK, TX - The Texas Legends, presented by Veracruz (visit Veracruz.mx), found themselves at an early disadvantage they never managed to escape, losing to the Toros 97-122 in Austin tonight.
Austin got off to a quick start scoring the first points of the game and maintaining their lead from there. The Legends managed to even it up multiple times in the first quarter but ultimately found themselves down by 11 heading into the second. The deficit only increased at each buzzer as the Legends shot under 40% on the night, while the Toros were firing at an even 50%. The Toros also outrebounded the Legends 50-45 and forced 19 turnovers.
Devin Ebanks was the game's leading scorer with 24 points while adding 6 rebounds and 2 blocked shots. Melvin Ely was the leading rebounder with the game's only double-double of 10 boards and 16 points for the Legends. Eric Dawson and Spurs' assignee Nando De Colo led the Toros in scoring with 21 each.
