Los Angeles D-Fenders News Release
EL SEGUNDO - The Los Angeles D-Fenders will host a special regular season game on January 27th against the Texas Legends at Citizens Business Bank Arena in Ontario, California, it was announced today. The contest will serve as a special tribute to longtime Los Angeles Lakers and D-Fenders owner, Dr. Jerry Buss. The contest, which coincides with Dr. Buss' birthday, will mark the second straight season the D-Fenders have hosted a game at the Citizens Business Bank Arena, and first ever regular season contest.
"We are excited to showcase D-Fenders basketball to fans in Ontario for a second straight season," said Joey Buss, D-Fenders President and CEO. "Last year's game was a huge success, and we aim to duplicate that success this year. The Lakers have been coming to Citizens Business Bank Arena for several years and it's a special opportunity for us to celebrate with this tribute game."
Tip-off is scheduled for 7 pm and the game will be broadcast live on Time Warner Cable Sportsnet. Tickets are on sale now and can be purchased at Cbbankarena.com and by telephone at 1-888-9-AXS-TIX (888-929-7849). Prices start as low as $10.
