
Bighorns Fall in Nailbitter against D-Fenders

Reno, NV, January 2, 2014 - The Reno Bighorns fell to the Los Angeles D-Fenders 99-95 in a back and forth battle at the Reno Events Center on Thursday Night.
The D-Fenders went on a 5-0 run at the beginning of the first quarter, but the Bighorns followed with a 7-0 run of their own to end the quarter (3:07-2:04).
Reno continued their hot streak in the second quarter with back-to-back dunks from Mickell Gladness and Dequan Jones as the Bighorns went on a 11-0 run to finish out the first half.
The Bighorns led 71-66 to start the 4th quarter, but the D-Fenders gained the lead after a going on a 15-2 run in the 4th. Manny Harris' 16 points and 3 rebounds in the fourth sealed the win for Los Angeles. Harris ended the night with a game-high 31 points and 10 rebounds. Josh Magette added 17 points and C.J. Williams ended the night with 16 points, 5 rebounds and 4 assists.
Reno's Mo Charlo grabbed his third double-double in the past three games with 23 points, 17 rebounds and 4 assists. Trent Lockett also had his first double-double of the season with 13 points and 10 rebounds. Mickell Gladness also added 11 rebounds. Four Bighorns players scored in double figures on Thursday. The Bighorns now stand at 7-8 this season.
