April 24, 2017 - EL SEGUNDO - Los Angeles D-Fenders guard Vander Blue has been named the 2016-17 NBA Development League Most Valuable Player in a vote by the league's 22 head coaches, it was announced today. April 11, 2017 - EL SEGUNDO - The Los Angeles D-Fenders were defeated by the Rio Grande Valley Vipers in Game 3 of the Western Conference Semifinals on Monday at the Toyota Sports Center, 140-127, bringing an end to L.A.'s season. In Saturday's Western Conference Semifinal win against the Rio Grande Valley Vipers, Nwaba scored 22 points, to go along with nine rebounds, three assists and one block.
