Legends Earn Largest Win in Franchise History

Frisco, TX (January 7, 2011) - The Texas Legends dominated every aspect of the game on Friday night picking up a 123-93 victory over the Springfield Armor at HP Court inside Dr Pepper Arena.

The Legends, who led by as much as 37 points, would get their largest margin of victory in franchise history with the 30-point win.

The game was controlled from the opening tip by the Legends, as they ended the first quarter on an 18-5 run and took a 41-21 lead into the second quarter. The Legends would extend their lead to 21 going into halftime.

The Legends second leading scorer Justin Dentmon controlled the third quarter, scoring 12 of his 18 points and putting the game completely out of reach for the Armor.

The scoring was spread amongst all ten Texas players, as the Legends also tied a season-high with seven double-digit scorers in the win.

Booker Woodfox led the way for the Legends with a game-high 20 points on 8-of-10 shooting. Joe Alexander added 19 points and 10 rebounds, the games' lone double-double.

The Legends snapped a two-game losing streak with the win as they improved to 9-7 on the year. The Armor, losers of six of their last seven games, fell to 5-13 on the season.

The Legends will finish a five-game home stand tomorrow night, with the fourth meeting of the year against the Tulsa 66ers. Tip-off is set for 7:00 p.m.. Following the game tomorrow Texas will head to South Padre Island to take part in the D-League Showcase.
