January 7, 2011 - NBA G League (G League)
Maine Celtics News Release

PORTLAND, ME - The Maine Red Claws set an all-time franchise low for points with 70 while posting less than stellar numbers, shooting just 32.1%, handing the visiting Dakota Wizards an easy 93-70 win.

Maine managed to keep the game close through the first quarter, ending the first session trailing by only two. Dakota began to break things open in the second quarter, starting with an 11-0 run and finishing the half up by a dozen.

The Wizards continued their push in the second half as Maine's shots continued to fall short. Dakota led by 27 at the end of the third quarter, and the Red Claws never sustained enough attack to close the gap.

Dakota's top scorers tonight were center Chris Johnson and guard Vernon Hamilton, who both finished with 18. Guard Anthony Goods finished the night with 15 while guard Darren Cooper added 12 to help lead the Wizards to their fifth win of the season.

Maine's high scorers tonight were forward DeShawn Sims with 19, guard Kenny Hayes with 14, and guard Mario West contributed 10 points.

The Red Claws will travel to Erie for a Sunday matinee with the BayHawks at 2 PM before heading to the NBA Development League Showcase. The Wizards will travel South to take on the Springfield Armor on Sunday at 4 PM.
