
Ewing Jr. Leads Bighorns to 95-82 Win Over Utah

OREM, Utah- Patrick Ewing, Jr.'s sixth double-double propelled the Reno Bighorns to a 95-82 win over the Utah Flash Friday night in the UCCU Events Center.
With the game tied 59-59 entering the fourth quarter, Reno would outscore Utah 3623 in the final frame to grab their third road win of the year, and third-straight victory over the Flash.
In a game that saw 14 lead changes and 10 ties, the Bighorns pulled away late behind Ewing's strong night. The forward from Georgetown netted 18 points and grabbed a team-season-high 14 rebounds. Donald Sloan led the Bighorns in scoring with 20 points in just his second start of the season, and first as Aaron Miles' replacement as Reno's point guard.
D.J. Strawberry chipped in with 19 points and six boards off the bench. Reno earned the victory despite shooting just 39.0% from the field and getting outrebounded 50-47.
Orien Greene led Utah with 19 points, while Brandon Costner added 15 points off the bench, including connecting on 3-6 from behind the three-point stripe.
The two teams square off again Saturday night in Orem in the second game of this weekend back-to-back. Tip-time is set for 6 p.m. PT. Reno returns home Saturday, Jan. 15 for a 7 p.m. game against the Texas Legends.
