Cincinnati Cyclones News Release

Cincinnati, Ohio – The Cincinnati Cyclones, an ECHL affiliate of the National Hockey League's Nashville Predators, announced today that defenseman Eric Lavigne (la-VEEN) and forward Evgeny Pavlov (ev-GEN-ee) were reassigned by the Milwaukee Admirals of the American Hockey league.

The two were summoned to Milwaukee on March 19 and had missed the past five Cyclones games as a result. Both are available for selection in tonight's game with Peoria.

In related team news, the Admirals recalled goaltender Jure Penko as an emergency back-up. To replace Penko, the Cyclones added local product Shane Clifford as an emergency back-up.

The Cyclones currently hold a three-point lead over the Wheeling (W. Va.) Nailers for the fourth and final playoff spot in the Northwest Division. Cincinnati's magic number to clinch the berth is four, meaning any combination of four points earned by the Cyclones or lost by the Nailers.

Cincinnati hosts the Peoria Rivermen tonight at Firstar Center at 7:30 p.m. The game can be heard live on 1360 Homer, The Sports Animal. The Cyclones close out the 2001-02 regular season with games Saturday in Peoria, and Sunday versus Wheeling at Firstar Center.

Tickets for the remaining regular season home games can be purchased at the Firstar Center Box Office, open Monday through Friday from 10:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. and through all participating Ticketmaster locations, including select Kroger stores. Tickets may also be charged by phone by calling (513) 562-4949 or at www.ticketmaster.com.
