D Tremblay Loaned To AHL's P-Bruins Again

GREENVILLE - The East Coast Hockey League?s Southeast Division Champion Greenville Grrrowl have announced the loan of defenseman Simon Tremblay to the American Hockey League's Providence Bruins. Tremblay rejoined the Grrrowl yesterday after a one-week stint on loan to the P-Bruins and scored the first goal in a 2-1 win over the Columbus Cottonmouths last night.

Tremblay, who was acquired by the Grrrowl from the Reading Royals at the ECHL trade deadline, is one of the top scorers among all ECHL defensemen with 48 points on 11 goals and 37 assists in 64 games this season. He had two penalty minutes in four games with Providence last week.

The Grrrowl will visit the South Carolina Stingrays tonight at 7:30 p.m. and Columbus tomorrow at 4 p.m. to finish the 2001-2002 regular season. They will open the 2002 Kelly Cup Playoffs at home hosting games one and two of the Southern Conference first round series next Thursday and Friday April 4th and 5th at 7:05 p.m.
