The Mysticks answered on a power play goal by Hugue Gervais as he punched a loose puck over the head of goaltender Jason Saal at the 9:34 mark of the opening stanza. Ryan Knox and John Sadowski added the assists on the tally.
Jason Elders gave the Mysticks a 2-1 lead to the locker room at the 12:15 mark of the first as he buried a centering pass from J.P O'Connor right in the slot. Jesse Rezansoff also picked up an assist on the goal.
The Mysticks took a 3-1 lead as Tyler Deis fired the puck into the upper corner over an out of position Saal at the 5:40 mark of the second period. Saal came out of his net to play the puck and Blue Bennefield knocked down the pass and moved the puck to an open Tyler Deis.
