Chiefs Get Second Shot Tonight at Playoff Spot

Johnstown, PA- Tonight the Johnstown Chiefs will get another shot at clinching a Kelly Cup playoff spot when they take on the Toledo Storm, tonight at the Toledo Sports Arena. Game time is at 7:30 p.m. A Chiefs win or a Wheeling loss or tie will give Johnstown their third straight playoff appearance.

The Chiefs enter tonight's game with a 37-30-2 record. The next Chiefs win will break the franchise record for wins in a season. The 1993-94 team finished their 68 game season 37-27-4. A win tonight will also tie the franchise record for most points in a season with 78, and tie the franchise record for most road wins in a season with 16.

In the event the Chiefs clinch a playoff spot tonight, tickets for the first round of the playoffs will go on sale Saturday morning at 10:00 a.m., at the War Memorial Box Office. Season ticket holders will have their tickets held aside until 3 p.m. the day of the game(s). Tickets can be purchased on a game by game basis, or series by series basis.

The Chiefs will close out the regular season with a pair of home games this weekend. Saturday night they will take on the Greensboro Generals at 7:30 p.m.. Sunday afternoon will be the regular season finale as the Chiefs will face-off against the Atlantic City Boardwalk Bullies at 4:00 p.m. The game will be Fan Appreciation Day. Thousands of dollars worth of prizes will be given away to fans at random, throughout the game.
