Harrisburg Senators News Release

The Harrisburg Senators were not able to take advantage of their chances with runners in scoring position in 6-2 loss to the Richmond Flying Squirrels.

The Senators only had three hits on the day, but drew seven walks. Unfortunately for Harrisburg, they could not cash in as they were hitless in 12 at-bats with runners in scoring position. The Senators first run came in the top of the eighth when Quincy Latimore hit his fourth home run of the year. Ricky Hague (1-for-4, double) followed later in the inning with an RBI groundout. Kevin Keyes, who singled in the eighth, had the other hit for the Sens.

Wednesday's starter Brian Dupra threw 96 pitches in his five innings of work. Dupra allowed six hits and four runs while striking out three Richmond batters. Neil Holland allowed a run in two innings of work, but four of the six outs he recorded came via the strikeout. Richmond also scored one run off Robert Benincasa in his lone inning of work.

The Senators begin a four-game series tomorrow in Akron, where they will be joined by Nationals OF Bryce Harper on his continued rehab assignment. Harrisburg will start right-hander Paolo Espino while Akron will begin the series with Gabriel Arias on the mound for a 7:05 p.m. start. The game can be heard beginning with the pregame show at 6:50 p.m. on 1460 AM or via senatorsbaseball.com, 1460theticket.com or the iHeart Radio app.

The Senators box office is open Monday through Friday, 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., and Saturday from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. Tickets are available via telephone during the same hours as the box office hours. Tickets are also available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, online at www.senatorsbaseball.com.
