Giancarlo Esposito Appearance, Taillon and Al Tuna Giveaways, Fireworks to Entertain Fans When Curve

CURVE, Pa. - After wrapping up the longest road trip of the season, the Altoona Curve return back to Peoples Natural Gas Field for a jam-packed homestand beginning on Thursday. Giancarlo Esposito will meet and greet fans in Curve, Pa, plus fans have an opportunity to receive giveaways featuring former Curve pitcher Jameson Taillon and Al Tuna. To cap off the homestand, fans will see postgame fireworks and bid on a Pirates-themed jersey as the Curve wrap up their season series against the Binghamton Mets (AA - New York Mets).

Giancarlo Esposito will be at Peoples Natural Gas Field on Thursday when the Curve return home thanks to Peoples and Atlantic Broadband. The actor, famous for his iconic villain "Gus Fring" from the critically acclaimed "Breaking Bad", will throw out the ceremonial first pitch and sign autographs for two hours during the game.

On Friday and Saturday, the Curve will give away a pair of collectable items to fans that come to the ballpark early. Friday's 7 p.m. game will feature the Jameson Taillon Tuxedo T-Shirt presented by WTAJ to the first 1,500 fans. Taillon was a member of the 2013 Curve team and is rated by several publications as the top pitching prospect in the Pirates system. Saturday's 6 p.m. game will feature the Al-in-the-Wall giveaway to the first 1,000 fans thanks to Super 8 Altoona. No need to wait for the Curve to score a run, fans can have Al Tuna jump out of the wall whenever and wherever they want. Gates will open at 5 p.m. for all four weekend games.

Sunday's series finale against Binghamton will be at 6 p.m. will feature postgame fireworks. Additionally, all fans that come to Sunday's game can bid on the 1992 Pittsburgh Pirates-themed jersey auction that the Curve players will wear on the field during the game. All proceeds will benefit the St. Jude Children Hospital thanks to Reliable Towing & Auto Center in memory of former Altoona Curve outfielder Evan Chambers, who passed away this offseason.
