LEXINGTON, Ky. - The Lexington Legends (12-11) plated a pair of runs in the sixth, seventh and eighth innings to rally late past the Greenville Drive (11-12), 6-1, on Sunday afternoon at Whitaker Bank Ballpark. The two teams split the four-game series.
Pitching was once again the story early, as Drive starter pitching continued its strong run. On the other side, Kris Bubic (3-0) tossed 7.0 scoreless innings and allowed three hits and a walk with 10 strikeouts for the Legends, earning the win.

The home team added to its lead with two more runs in both the seventh and eighth innings. A two-run home run by Jackson Lueck in the seventh and a two-run home run by Nick Hutchins in the eighth pushed the advantage to 6-0.
The Drive broke up the shutout with a run in the ninth. Kervin Suarez and Devlin Granberg recorded back-to-back singles to start the inning, allowing Suarez to go third with Granberg moving to second on defensive indifference a few pitches later. An RBI groundout by Jordan Wren scored Suarez to get the Drive on the board for a 6-1 game.
Angel Padron suffered the loss for the Drive, allowing two runs (one earned) on three hits in 1.0 inning of work.
