Last Second Shot Eliminates Clips from Playoff Contention

SANTA CRUZ, Calif. - With their destiny in their own hands, the Agua Caliente Clippers (26-24) fall to the Santa Cruz Warriors (34-16), 112-110, thanks to a last-second shot by Kendrick Nunn.

Holding a nine point lead with 4:57 left in the game, the Clippers fell victim to a 12-1 Santa Cruz run that gave the Warriors a 110-108 lead with 2:07 to go. After Brandon Fields' layup tied the game at 110 with 22.1 seconds left, Warriors guard Kendrick Nunn hit a floater with 0.3 seconds on the clock to end the Clippers season.

Agua Caliente was led by guard Jerome Robinson's 26 points on 9-of-19 shooting from the field. Center Angel Delgado added a double-double of 18 points and 15 rebounds while Johnathan Motley contributed an all-around 22 points, nine rebounds, and five assists.

Kendrick Nunn led the Warriors with 30 points on an efficient 14-of-20 shooting from the field.

Coming off an inaugural season in which they finished 23-27, the Clippers improved in their second season, finishing 2018-19 with a record of 26-24, good for seventh in the Western Conference, and narrowly missing the playoffs.
