March 24, 2019 - NBA G League (G League)
Grand Rapids Drive News Release
GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. - The Grand Rapids Drive, the official NBA G League Affiliate of the Detroit Pistons, will have a shot at redemption in the first round of this year's playoffs when they travel to Mississauga to face the Raptors 905. It will be a rematch of last year's playoff matchup when the 905 ended the Drive's 2017-18 season.
The first round matchup is scheduled for Tuesday, March 26th at 8pm and will be live on ESPNU. The Drive clinched the franchise's first Central Division title last night in Ft. Wayne with a 121-118 victory. Grand Rapids finished the regular season with a 28-22 record and a 5-seed in this year's Eastern Conference.
The first round, Conference Semifinal and Conference Final are single-elimination rounds with the Finals being a best-of-3 series. The winner of Tuesday's game between the Drive and 905 will head to New York to face the top-seeded Long Island Nets on Friday evening.
