Ontario Clippers News Release

PRESCOTT VALLEY, AZ - The Agua Caliente Clippers (1-0) spoil the Northern Arizona Suns' (0-1) home opener on Saturday night, taking the game, 121-120. Down two in the final seconds, Derrick Walton Jr. sank three free throws with 0.3 seconds on the clock to give the Clippers their first lead of the night to steal the victory.

The Suns led for almost the entire game, by as much as 26, but Agua Caliente kept chipping away to keep things close down the stretch. After a missed free throw kept the Clippers deficit at 2, Anthony Lawrence II's foul with 0.3 seconds remaining capped the Clippers' improbable win.

All five Clipper starters recorded double-digit points, led by James Palmer Jr.'s 40 points on an efficient 15 for 20 shooting from the field. Terry Larrier added a double-double of 28 points and 11 rebounds, knocking down 6-of-11 from three-point range. The duo were critical down the stretch, combining for 36 second half points, 22 of which came in the fourth quarter.

Walton Jr. also finished with a double-double, putting up 16 points to go with 11 assists and seven rebounds.
