Stockton Kings Dominate Santa Cruz Warriors 122-97 in Season Opener

Stockton, Calif. - The Stockton Kings - the NBA G League affiliate of the Sacramento Kings - dominated the Santa Cruz Warriors - the NBA G League affiliate of the Golden State Warriors - by a final score of 122-97 in the first game of the 2019-20 season.

Stockton was led by center Eric Mika who finished with a game-high 24 points shooting 8-12 from the field (66.7 percent), a game-high 16 rebounds and three assists. Six of Stockton's nine active players scored in double figures to help Stockton get their first victory at Stockton Arena tonight.

Stockton two-way guard Kyle Guy scored 12 of his 22 total points in the first half, including a buzzer-beater three-pointer at the half that helped the Stockton Kings end the half on an 8-2 run with a 46-37 lead.

The Stockton Kings scored a total of 76 points in the second half, shooting a total of 10-14 from three-point range. Stockton forward Cody Demps put up big numbers in the fourth, scoring 15 of his 17 points and shooting three for 3 three behind the arc.

Santa Cruz Warriors forward Juan Toscano-Anderson led the opposing team in scoring with 19 points, and nine rebounds and forward Jared Cunningham added 17 points.

The Stockton Kings (1-0) will face the Santa Cruz Warriors (0-1) tomorrow night - Saturday, November 9 - in Santa Cruz at 7 p.m. This game can be viewed via Twitch and NBC Sports Bay Area Plus.

Stockton will return home on Wednesday, November 13, to host the Sioux Falls Skyforce at Stockton Arena at 7 p.m. Tickets can be purchased at StocktonKings.com/Tickets.
