VIRGINIA BEACH, Va. – The Norfolk Admirals are pleased to announce that Langley Air Force Base has purchased 30 season tickets for the 2002-2003 season.

"This is terrific news," stated Admirals' Director of Operations Todd McKeating. "It just continues to show the tremendous support the Air Force, and all the area military, has for the Admirals and the Hampton Roads community. It also goes a long way to helping us meet our goals. We are very thankful for Langley's generous purchase."

"We are pleased to be able to offer our base personnel and their families a chance to see the Norfolk Admirals," said Audrey Anderson, ITT Director for Langley Air Force Base. "As a lot of our personnel are from areas where hockey is popular, this gives them a chance to see quality professional hockey right here in their own back yard."

In other news, the Admirals will play their first home contest of 2002-03 tomorrow evening at Scope at 7:30 p.m. Before their match up with the Hershey Bears (Colorado Avalanche), the Blue and Gold will host a tailgate party on Scope's Plaza, featuring bubblehockey games, clowns, music and other entertainment. The Admirals will then raise their first AHL banner commemorating their South Division Championship last season.

Tickets for all 40 contests on the Admirals' home schedule are available at the Scope Box Office, all TicketMaster outlets, charge-by-phone at (757) 671-8100 and online at www.ticketmaster.com. For more information, contact the Admirals at (757) 363-1900 or visit the club's website at www.norfolkadmirals.com.
