Hamilton Bulldogs News Release
The Hamilton Bulldogs will play their seventh American Hockey League home opener this Friday, October 18th at 7:00 p.m. as they host the Syracuse Crunch at Copps Coliseum.
This game will give fans their first opportunity to see this season's edition of the Hamilton Bulldogs, which consists of top prospects from both the Montreal Canadiens and Edmonton Oilers organizations.
After Friday night's game the Bulldogs will continue a busy weekend as they travel to Cleveland on Saturday for a 7:05 p.m. game gainst the Barons. Then on Sunday the Bulldogs will return home to face former Bulldogs goaltender Marc Lamothe and the Grand Rapids Griffins. Game time on Sunday is 6:00 p.m. at Copps Coliseum.
The Bulldogs opened the 2002-03 regular season with a 3-1 win in Rochester on Monday. Bulldogs forward Jason Ward began the season by scoring two goals, while Jarret Stoll added the empty netter. Ty Conklin was outstanding in the Bulldogs goal, as he stopped 36 of 37 shots.
