
Flames Sign Sullivan

Saint John, NB â The Saint John Flames announced today the signing of 24-year-old defenceman Jeff Sullivan to a 25-game Professional Tryout Agreement.
Sullivan began the season with the Flames East Coast Hockey League affiliate, the Johnstown Chiefs, recording 1 assist and 4 penalty minutes in 2 games. The 6'1", 215 lb native of St. John's, Newfoundland appeared in 41 contests with Saint John during the 2001-02 season recording 1 goal, 1 assist and 96 penalty minutes. Sullivan was Ottawa's sixth round selection, 146th overall, in the 1997 NHL Entry Draft.
The Flames return to action this weekend as they host their Canadian Division rivals, the Manitoba Moose, in back-to-back games on Friday and Saturday. The 2002-03 season marks the Saint John Flames' tenth as a member of the AHL and as the primary development organization of the National Hockey League's Calgary Flames.
