LAKEWOOD, NJ - The BlueClaws (3-4) bats were once again quiet as Greensboro (3-5) blanked Lakewood 3-0 in the final game of their four game series Thursday night in Lakewood. SP Alan Oaks (1-1) gave up just 1 hit over 6 innings and struck out 5 while picking up his first win of the year. The BlueClaws collected just 3 hits in the loss, and have now scored only 11 runs in the first 7 games of 2011.

Lakewood grounded into 3 separate 6-4-3 double plays, and squandered another solid outing from their Starting Pitcher. Mario Hollands (1-1) was handed his first loss and a BlueClaw as he went 6 1/3rd innings, gave up 6 hits and 2 runs. Only 1 of those runs was earned however, and he also struck out 5 Grasshopper batters. RHP Hector Neris came on in relief of Hollands and pitched 2 2/3rd solid innings.

Up next for the BlueClaws is a 9 game road trip that starts Friday night in Hagerstown against the Suns. Lakewood will play 4 games against Hagerstown, then travel to Asheville and play 5 games against the Tourists.

First pitch on Friday night is scheduled for 6:35 p.m. It is sure to be quite in Hagerstown a show as the top prospect in all of baseball Bryce Harper is making his home debut for the Suns. RHP David Buchanan (0-0) gets the start for Lakewood, and he will be opposed by RHP Chris McKenzie (1-0).
