
Lake Monsters' 7-run second dooms Cutters

The Vermont Lake Monsters used a 7-run second inning to win the finale of the 3-game series with the Crosscutters Friday night at Susquehanna Bank Park at Bowman Field 14-2.
Cutters starting pitcher Chris Oliver (0-1) making his second start did not survive the second inning going just five outs on the night allowing seven runs on four hits, three walks while striking out one in his first loss.
The Cutters offense was held to just five hits on the night. The only extra base hit and RBI on the night belonged to Robinson Torres who doubled home Garcia and Hernandez in the fourth inning. It was the only time the Cutters scored on the night and had more than one base runner on in an inning.
Derek Campbell had his 10-game hitting streak snapped by going 0 for 4.
