
LAFC Defeats Houston Dynamo 2-1 on Wednesday Night at Banc of California Stadium

The Los Angeles Football Club (LAFC) defeated the Houston Dynamo 2-1 Wednesday night at Banc of California Stadium. With the win, LAFC has clinched a berth in the 2020 Audi MLS Cup Playoffs, and Bob Bradley moved into third place on the all-time MLS coaching list with 270 wins.
LAFC forward Diego Rossi scored his MLS-leading 13th goal of the season in the 9th minute, further extending his lead in the race for the Golden Boot. Defender Eddie Segura followed, scoring the eventual match-winner in the 22nd minute, assisted by fellow defender Jesus Murillo.
Houston went down to 10 men after midfielder Matias Vera received his second yellow card in the 59th minute. Dynamo forward Ariel Lassiter pulled a goal back just after halftime in the 46th minute of play.
With the win, LAFC continues to sit in 4th place in the Western Conference with a 9-7-4 record (31 points). Next up, the Black & Gold travels north to face the San Jose Earthquakes on Sunday, November 1 (7:30 p.m. PT; YouTube TV, Estrella TV, ESPN LA 710, ESPN App, 980 AM).
