
Lacroix Heads to Hershey

North Charleston, SC - The South Carolina Stingrays and Head Coach Cail MacLean announced today that forward Maxime Lacroix has been called up to the Hershey Bears of the American Hockey League.
Lacroix, 23, appeared in 13 games with the Stingrays earning seven goals and three assists for 10 points. The Quebec, PQ native skated with the Stingrays for 63 games during the 2008-09 season scoring 33 goals and 31 assists for 64 points and appeared in all 23 Kelly Cup playoff contests netting 18 points (13g, 5a) as the Stingrays captured their ECHL-record third Kelly Cup title. Last season, Lacroix dressed in 38 games with the Cincinnati Cyclones of the ECHL tallying 17 goals and 11 assists for 28 points and recorded 12 points (3g, 9a) in 19 postseason games as the Cyclones won their second Kelly Cup championship.
A 5th round draft pick by the Washington Capitals in the 2006 NHL Entry Draft, Lacroix spent part of the 2009-10 campaign with the Hamilton Bulldogs of the American Hockey League recording three points (1g, 2a) in 27 games. Prior to turning pro, the 6-foot, 180-pound forward spent four seasons with the Quebec Remparts of the QMJHL acquiring 83 goals and 93 assists for 176 points in 254 contests. While with the Remparts, Lacroix was a member of the 2006 Memorial Cup Championship team.
