Bakersfield Condors News Release
Bakersfield, Calif. - The Bakersfield Condors (7-7-1-0, 15pts) posted their biggest win of the season, picking up a convincing 7-1 victory over the Las Vegas Wranglers (6-4-1-0, 13pts) in front of 4,670 fans on Friday at Rabobank Arena.
The Condors notched the only goal of the first period as RW Stephane Goulet potted his team-leading seventh goal of the season when his wrister snuck through G Joe Fallon at 16:16. Newcomer F Slava Trukhno picked up an assist for his first point as a Condor. G Peter Hirsch stood tall for Bakersfield in the first, turning aside all 12 Wranglers shots.
The second period featured a goal scoring outburst by Bakersfield, as they poured five goals into the twine. C Adam Naglich started it off by slipping a backhand between the legs of Fallon just 58 seconds into the period.C Rylan Kaip picked up his first of two second period goals just two minutes later. The Wranglers looked like they had stopped the bleeding with a power play goal, but the Condors answered with three more goals from Goulet, Kaip, and Lepine to bring a 6-1 lead into the second intermission.
Bakersfield's RW Carter Smith capped off the scoring with the lone third period goal. D J.F. David passed the puck to Smith on the right side, and Smith fired a shot off the shoulder of Fallon and into the top corner of the net. The Condors finished with 7 goals on 32 shots on the night.

D Jason Lepine and RW Stephane Goulet both finished with a +4 rating... Power plays: BAK: 1/4, LV 1/5... Three Stars: 1. S. Goulet (BAK); 2. R. Kaip (BAK); 3. V. Trukhno (BAK).
November Nuttiness:
The Condors are holding a merchandise blowout sale at all November home games, including $50 - $75 off past specialty jerseys. Countless other items, such as jersey t-shirts, bobbleheads and team card sets, are on sale with huge discounts, and many items now cost just $1!! We've gone totally nutty with this ridiculous sale - take advantage of our temporary delusional state at the back merchandise stand, behind sect. 102, at every November home game.
