Lacosta Pinch Hits For Chaz Tonight On Weekly Radio Show

January 14, 2008 - ECHL (ECHL)
Elmira Jackals News Release

The Jackals Coaches Show is on the air tonight, broadcasting live from O'Ryans Sports Bar and Grill - 159 Prescott Avenue in Elmira Heights, on NewsTalk 1230 & 1450 from 6 p.m. - 7 p.m.

Tonight's show will not be available via the on-line stream at www.jackalshockey.com due to technical difficulties at the station.

The Voice of the Jackals, Grady Whittenburg, is your host and will be discussing all things Jackals hockey with head coach Steve Martinson as the team split a pair of games on home ice this weekend and moved into a tie with Cincinnati for the North Division lead.

Players scheduled to join tonight's show include goaltender Dan LaCosta and defenseman Kyle Wharton. LaCosta steps in for Chaz Johnson who was loaned to the Binghamton Senators earlier today. Johnson returned from Binghamton prior to Saturday's game. In a 4-3 win over Cincinnati, Johnson extended his point streak (seven games) and goal streak (three games) in collecting the first Jackals ECHL hattrick. Wharton made a splash in his Jackals debut January 4th by scoring twice and picking up First Star honors in a 6-3 win over Dayton.

Dinner and drink specials will be available at O'Ryans during the show and all Jackals fans are encouraged to come down and enjoy the show live.

For fans that cannot make it to the show, but would like to pose a question to one of the guests or provide their thoughts on the Jackals and hear a response on tonight's show, feel free to e-mail questions and comments to radio@firstarena.com before 4:30 this afternoon.
