Four players, including Anthony Battaglia, Jeff Miles, Brad Ralph and Peter Tsimikalis had multi-point games. Rookie goaltender Jeff Jakaitis stopped all 37 Charlotte shots to record his second professional shutout.

Saturday, Jan. 12

INFERNO 4 - Florida 3

Tyler Doig (1g, 2a), Steve McJannet (2a) and Daniel Sparre (1g,1a) each had multi-point games as the Inferno beat the Everblades at home for the second time this season. Jakaitis stopped 25 of 28 for his third consecutive victory.

This is the first of six total meetings between the two teams this season. The Inferno hold a 6-5-1 all-time advantage over the Wildcatters. Texas head coach Malcolm Cameron was an assistant coach with the Inferno in 2001-02.

This weekend will be the first of two occasions in which the two teams will play on consecutive days, as the Inferno travel to Beaumont, Texas for a three-game series Feb. 22-24th. The Inferno went 4-3-0-0 against the 'Catters last season.

Inferno vs. Mississippi Sea Wolves, 7:05pm

The Inferno will host the 2nd Annual Pink in the Rink to benefit the Palmetto Health Foundation for Breast Cancer Research on Friday, February 15. Starting on Saturday, January 12, there will be a raffle set up at customer service for you to purchase raffle tickets to have the opportunity to win one of six pink jerseys. The remaining jerseys will be auctioned off immediately after the game on February 15. Ticket packages are available by calling 256-7825.

HOTTER THAN BLAZES:

Reid Cashman has two points (1g-1a), including his first goal of the season in his last two games...Jeff Miles has four points (2g-2a) in his last three games...Tyler Doig has three points (1g-2a) in his last game...Brad Ralph has two goals and three assists in his last two games...Jeff Jakaitis recorded his second shutout of the season and has started the last nine consecutive games.
