MANCHESTER, NH - The Manchester Monarchs, have formed a "Jason LaBarbera for MVP" campaign committee and are urging all Monarchs fans to unite in their support of Jason LaBarbera for the American Hockey League's Most Valuable Player Award.
"We are asking every resident of Monarchs Country to sign our online petition and join us at our MVP Rally on April 7 to demonstrate their support of LaBarbera for MVP," explained Monarchs Director of Marketing Phil Signoroni.
Fans are asked to log on to monarchshockey.com to sign the online petition and for all MVP Rally details. Ten petitioners will be chosen at random to receive autographed MVP T-shirts and one lucky petitioner will win a LaBarbera game-used goalie stick signed by all of the Monarchs.
The MVP Rally will be held on Saturday, April 7 when the Monarchs host the Portland Pirates at the Verizon Wireless Arena. Monarchs fans are encouraged to participate in the MVP Rally in the following ways:
Fans can receive a free ticket to the game on April 7 and be entered for a chance to meet LaBarbera after the game by cutting their hair in the famed LaBarbera Mohawk.
Fans will receive limited edition MVP T-shirts for painting '35 for MVP' on their face, bringing 'LaBarbera for MVP' signs or by getting a Mohawk at the door.

The MVP Rally will begin at 1:05 p.m. on Saturday, April 7 and includes a special ticket offer of two Silver Level tickets, two limited edition MVP T-shirts and two autographed mini-goalie sticks by LaBarbera for $35.
