SAN ANTONIO, TX - Jordan Kyrou notched two assists and the shootout winner and Charlie Sampair scored his first AHL goal to power the San Antonio Rampage (6-12-0) to a 3-2 shootout win over the Rockford IceHogs (8-8-3) on Tuesday night at the AT&T Center, earning the Rampage their third straight victory.

Austin Poganski and Kyrou both scored in the shootout against Rockford goaltender Collin Delia with wrist shots to the glove side, and Jordan Binnington stopped two of three shooters with a blocker save on Dylan Sikura in the third round of the shootout to secure his fifth win of the season in front of 3,510 fans.

The Rampage have won four of their last five games at the AT&T Center.

The IceHogs were in control of the game at the start of the first period, scoring twice in the game's first four minutes. Sikura gave the IceHogs a 1-0 lead at 3:06 of the first period, shaking off Rampage defenseman Sam Lofquist with an inside-outside move before firing a wrist shot from the high slot past Binnington for his sixth goal of the season.

Just 48 seconds later, with Rockford on the power play, Anthony Louis lifted a wrist shot from the bottom of the right circle up over Binnington's short-side shoulder for his seventh of the year and a 2-0 Rockford lead.

The Rampage answered back before the end of the first period, with Jakub Jerabek's right circle wrist shot at 18:11 deflecting off a Rockford stick and over Delia's shoulder for a power play goal to make it 2-1, Jerabek's third of the season.

Rockford entered the game with the league's fourth-ranked penalty kill, but they have now surrendered power play goals in five straight games and in seven of their last eight contests. The Rampage power play has converted in five straight home games, going 8-for-24 in that stretch.

Binnington preserved the one-goal deficit with a sprawling save on Louis in the second period, lunging left after a rebound had kicked to Louis at the side of the net and snaring the rebound with the glove. Shortly after, San Antonio tied the game when Kyrou fed Sampair on a 2-on-1 rush, with Sampair beating Delia for his first AHL goal at 8:52 of the second.

Sampair was recalled from ECHL Tulsa on Monday and played his first game with the Rampage this season. He had appeared in two games with San Antonio last season and registered an assist.

The Rampage outshot Rockford 6-2 in overtime, but both teams had opportunities in the final minute. After Sikura hit a post behind Binnington, Joey LaLeggia immediately pulled away on a breakaway against Delia and hit the post. In the ensuing scramble, Kyrou would hit the post with another shot and Mackenzie MacEachern would be stopped in close on three stuff-in attempts.

With an assist on the Sampair goal, Mitch Reinke has a four-game points streak. Binnington is 5-1-0 in his last six starts with a 1.32 goals-against average and a .949 save percentage over that span.

The Rampage return to action on Friday night as Los Chimuelos de San Antonio, hosting the Texas Stars at the AT&T Center to kick off a three-in-three weekend series. Puck-drop scheduled for 7:30 p.m., with the game available on The Ticket 760AM and on AHLTV.
