Thunderbirds Sign F Ryan Horvat to PTO

SPRINGFIELD, Mass. - The Springfield Thunderbirds announced on Wednesday that they have signed forward Ryan Horvat to a PTO.

The 25-year-old Horvat has skated in six AHL games this season with the Wilkes-Barre/Scranton Penguins, recording one assist and nine penalty minutes. This is his second stint with the Thunderbirds after skating with Springfield from 2016-18.

In 104 games with the Thunderbirds, Horvat has recorded nine goals and 29 assists for 38 points, in addition to 124 penalty minutes. Horvat has also captured a Calder Cup title in 2015 with the Manchester Monarchs during his five-year professional career.

The Thunderbirds complete their five-game homestand with matchups on Black Friday against the Penguins and Saturday against the Syracuse Crunch. Each game will drop the puck at 7:05 p.m.
