Harrisburg Senators News Release

Harrisburg, PA - Harrisburg Senators RHP Zack Segovia was activated Thursday after four days on the Temporary Inactive List. RHP Andrew Kown was transferred to Advanced-A Potomac.

Segovia, 25, is scheduled to start Friday's game against the Altoona Curve. He began the year in the Phillies' organization, but was released and picked up by the Nationals. As a Senator, Segovia is 1-0 with a 7.63 ERA in three starts. Harrisburg is the sixth minor-league club for whom he has played this season.

Kown, 25, was released by the Tigers' organization on July 22nd, was signed by the Nationals and assigned to Harrisburg on July 31st. He struggled in a week with the Senators, allowing eight earned runs in 2.1 innings of work. Kown joins a Potomac team that is bound for the Carolina League playoffs after winning the first-half championship. The P-Nats are in first place in the second-half standings entering play Thursday.

With the moves, the Senators maintain 24 players on the active roster. Only six players from the Opening Day roster remain on the active roster. Only one player from the Opening Day roster (OF Mike Daniel) has remained on the active roster in Harrisburg for the entire season to date.

The Senators open a five-game series with a doubleheader Thursday at 5:35 PM against the Altoona Curve (Double-A Pittsburgh Pirates). The series runs through Sunday afternoon. Tickets can be purchased by calling the Senators' box office at 231-4444 or online at www.senatorsbaseball.com.
