Kos, Tabacek Sent to Dayton

CINCINNATI, Ohio - The Cincinnati Mighty Ducks assigned defenseman Kyle Kos and Jan Tabacek to Dayton of the East Coast Hockey League on Friday.

Kos, a second-round pick by Tampa Bay in 1997, had one assist with eight penalty minutes in nine games with Cincinnati this season. He missed the past 13 games with a separated shoulder suffered December 27 against Grand Rapids. The 6-foot-3, 210-pounder has three goals and nine assists with 87 penalty minutes in 24 games between Arkansas and Dayton in the ECHL this season.

Tabacek, a sixth-round pick by Anaheim in 2001, has gone scoreless with four penalty minutes in five games with Cincinnati this season. The 5-foot-11, 169-pounder suffered a separated shoulder October 25 against Milwaukee and missed the next 40 games. He has appeared in one game with Dayton this season, collecting one assist with 16 penalty minutes.
