
Pens Reassign Koltsov to Wilkes-Barre/Scranton

WILKES-BARRE, PA - The Pittsburgh Penguins today reassigned Konstantin Koltsov to their American Hockey League affiliate, the Wilkes-Barre/Scranton Penguins. The announcement was made by Penguins' General Manager Craig Patrick.
Koltsov, 21, was scoreless in two games with the Penguins after being recalled from Wilkes-Barre/Scranton on January 27. He made his NHL debut on Jan. 28 against the New York Islanders at Nassau Coliseum.
In 38 games with Wilkes-Barre/Scranton this season, Koltsov has recorded 19 points (6+13) and eight penalty minutes.
The 6'0", 201-pound native of Minsk, Belarus was drafted by the Penguins in the first round (18th overall) of the 1999 NHL Entry Draft.
With the roster move, the Wilkes-Barre/Scranton Penguins now have 22 players on their roster - two goaltenders, seven defensemen and 13 forwards.
The Penguins (21-21-3-3, 48 points; third-place, Western Conference's South Division) continue their six-game homestand tonight as they host the Utah Grizzlies (24-17-3-1, 52 points; Second-place, West Division) at 7:05 p.m. at the First Union Arena at Casey Plaza.
