Fort Wayne, IN --- The Komets completed their best November in the UHL with an 8-3-0 record for the month taking 2 out of 3 games played last week.

The Komets started the week with their 45th consecutive home Thanksgiving day game, stopping Bloomington 5-2. It was Fort Wayne's 4th straight Thanksgiving holiday win and improved the Komet's Thanksgiving home record to 28-14-3 overall since starting the turkey day home game tradition in 1962. The Komets are 6-2-0 on Thanksgiving since joining the UHL in 1999.

Friday night the Komets had their 8-game home win string snapped after dropping a 2-1 decision to the visiting Muskegon Fury. It was the first Komet home loss of the season.

Saturday the Komets wrestled a 4-3 shootout win out of Rockford. The Komets are unbeaten in 3 shootouts so far this season. The win snapped the Komet's 2-game road winless streak.

This week the Komets begin December with 2 home games against division rivals. Friday the Quad City Mallards visit for an 8pm faceoff. Saturday the Komets host the Rockford IceHogs at 7:30pm.

Komet leaders.....Mario Larocque (D) 24 points, +9.....J.C. Ruid (LW) 12 goals, 4 game winning goals.....Guy Dupuis (D) 17 assists, 12 power play assists.....Kevin Hansen (D) 75 pim......Kevin St. Pierre, after appearing in all 3 games this past week, leads UHL goaltenders with 836:38 minutes.

Larocque leads UHL defensemen with 9 goals, 6 power play goals and is second with 24 points. Dupuis leads the Komets and UHL defensemen with 69 shots. The Komets also lead the UHL in least goals against with 38 for an average of 2.38 goals-against per game after 16 games.

Special K's.....the Komets lead the UHL with 31 power play goals in 125 chances after 16 games for a league-best 24.8% rating. The Komet's penalty kill ranks second with an 89.4% efficiency rating allowing only 12 power play goals in 125 times short handed. The Komets surrendered their first power play goal in 5 games Saturday night at Rockford.

Streaking Komets......Jonathan Goodwin (RW), 3-game point streak (3g, 2a, 5pts).....Dan Goneau (LW), 3-game point streak and 3-game assist streak (4a).

Milestones.....Komet's head coach Pat Bingham earned his 100th UHL win as a coach with Thursday night's 5-2 victory over the visiting Bloomington Prairie Thunder.....Guy Dupuis (D) skated his 600th Komet game Saturday at Rockford since joining the Komets during the 1991-92 season (IHL: 509 games).
