Worosz Named UHL Goaltender of the Week

FLINT, MI - The Flint Generals are proud to announce that Generals goaltender Bryan Worosz has been named UHL Goaltender of the Week.

Worosz appeared in two games last week for the Generals and was 2-0-0. On Thanksgiving he recorded a 3-2 win in Muskegon for his second win of the season. Worosz made 33 saves on 35 shots in the game and handed the Fury its first home loss of the season.

On Friday the Generals beat the Bloomington Prairie Thunder at Perani Arena 3-1. Worosz faced 26 shots in the game and made 25 saves for his second consecutive win. The win was the third of the season for Worosz and his first home win of the season.

In the two games played last week he made 58 saves on 61 shots for a .951 save percentage. His goals against average for the week was 1.50. For the season, Worosz has a record of 3-5-1 with a 3.02 goals against average and a .895 save percentage. His 3.02 GAA is eighth best in the league and his .895 save percentage is 11th best.

The Generals play three home games this week. Rockford will be at Perani Arena on Friday, December 1 and Sunday, December 3. Port Huron will be in town on Saturday, December 2. The game on Sunday is a rescheduled game from October 25. All tickets that were sold for the October 25 game will be honored on Sunday for the rescheduled game.
