Kalamazoo Wings News Release
Kalamazoo, MI- The Kalamazoo Wings, proud member of the United Hockey League and 2005-06 Central Division, Tarry Cup and Colonial Cup Champions, announce the team will practice Friday, December 1st from 10 a.m.-11:30 a.m. at The Rink in Battle Creek, Michigan.
Friday will be the first-time in over five years that The Rink, located at 75 Houston Street, has hosted a
K-Wings practice.
"Battle Creek is an area where we are continuing to develop our fan base," said Vice President/General Manager Paul L. Pickard. "Holding a practice in Battle Creek is an opportunity to create new fans, while catering to our loyal followers from the region that do not get the chance to attend our regular practices."
Practice will be open to the public and the K-Wings are encouraging fans to attend the event. Besides watching the K-Wings, fans can interact with everyone's favorite mascot, Slappy.
Kalamazoo will play its next two contests away from Wings Stadium; however, the team will return home next Friday, December 8th versus the Bloomington PrairieThunder. The K-Wings will remain at home for a game against the Flint Generals on Saturday, December 9th. Saturday will be a historic night, as the Stanley Cup and Turner Cup will be on display inside of The Cube Viewing Area starting at 1 p.m. Face-Off for both games is scheduled for 7:30 p.m.
Tickets for all K-Wing home games are currently available at the Wings Stadium Ticket Office. Regular business hours are Monday-Friday 10 a.m.-6 p.m. and Saturday 10 a.m.-2 p.m. Fans can also purchase seats from the comfort of home or work by logging onto www.ticketmaster.com.
