Komets add 3 to camp roster

Fort Wayne Komets News Release


The Komets announced today that winger Ken Boone has decided not to retire and will be in the Komet camp when it opens Monday. Boone, 26, skated stints with New Haven in the UHL and Greensboro of the ECHL last season.

The winger scored 8 goals and 13 points while accumulating 318 penalty minutes in 43 games with New Haven and picked up 21 penalty minutes in 9 games with Greensboro. Also added to the training camp roster was goaltender Mike Summerfeldt who appeared in 25 games with Knoxville last season. Forward Darcy Johnson also has accepted an invitation to the Fort Wayne camp. Johnson, 22, skated 66 games last year with Colorado in the WCHL.

25 players are on the camp roster including 14 forwards, 8 defensemen and 3 goaltenders.
