Men O\' War Begin Training Camp Monday

Lexington, KY- Lexington Men O' War General Manager of Hockey Operations/Head Coach Jim Wiley announced today the team will begin training camp next week. The first Men O' War practice is set for 9 a.m. Monday, September 30th at Rupp Arena. Media are invited to attend as the ECHL's newest squad makes its debut in Lexington.
The opening practice will continue until 12 p.m. The schedule calls for practice to run from 9a.m. to 11 a.m. A scrimmage will follow the practice from 11 a.m. to 12 p.m. All training camp practices are closed to the public.
Practices for the rest of the week will continue to run from 9:00 a.m.-12:00 p.m. Tuesday through Thursday. The media are invited to attend all of the training camp practices. Friday, October 4th the Men O' War will participate in morning skate prior to hosting the Peoria Rivermen. Friday's exhibition game with Peoria is open only to the media. The game is scheduled for a 7:30 face-off.
"It's time to meet all the players who I've been talking to all summer. It's nice to see some faces in the locker room now. We are also waiting to see what players our affiliates are sending us. By the time it's all said and done we expect to be at 19 players by the beginning of next week," said Wiley.
The Lexington Men O' War present "Opening Weekend" at Rupp Arena on Friday, October 11th and Saturday, October 12th against the Greensboro Generals.
