(LOUISVILLE, KY) - Center fielder Adam Haseley homered and drove home two runs to help power the Charlotte Knights to a 6-1 win over the Louisville Bats in the finale of the six-game series from Louisville Slugger Field on Sunday afternoon. With the win, the Knights earned a series win for the first time this season. The Knights took four of six games against the Bats in the series.

Haseley got the scoring started for the Knights in the top of the fourth inning with a solo home run off Louisville RHP Randy Wynne (1-7, 4.57). The home run was Haseley's eighth of the season.

The Knights added one more run in the fourth inning when Romy González scored from second base on a throwing error by Louisville second baseman Jonathan India.

The Bats added a run in the bottom of the fifth inning on a sacrifice-fly RBI from Donovan Solano. The run cut Charlotte's lead in half and the Bats trailed the Knights by a score of 2-1 at that point.

The Knights added a run in the top of the seventh inning on an RBI single from third baseman Zach Remillard to make it a 3-1 ballgame. Charlotte later tacked on three more runs in the top of the ninth inning to take a commanding 6-1 lead over the Bats. Designated hitter Ryder Jones (RBI single), left fielder Mark Payton (RBI groundout) and Haseley (RBI double) contributed to the lead in the ninth.

Remillard led the Knights on the afternoon with three hits, while Haseley's two RBIs were a team-high on Sunday.

On the mound, the Knights used a total of nine pitchers en route to the game six win. The nine hurlers combined to hold the Bats to just one run on five hits. RHP J.B. Olson started and struck-out two batters in a scoreless first inning. RHP Kade McClure (1-3, 7.13), the third of nine pitchers for the Knights on Sunday, struck-out one batter over a scoreless inning to earn his first win of the season. The nine Charlotte pitchers also combined for 14 strikeouts in the game.

The Knights will now have an off day on Monday before opening up a six-game home series against the Jacksonville Jumbo Shrimp (Triple-A affiliate of the Miami Marlins) from Truist Field on Tuesday night. First pitch of Tuesday's game from Uptown Charlotte is set for 7:04 p.m. The "Voice of the Charlotte Knights" Matt Swierad and long-time Knights broadcaster Mike Pacheco will have the call for all of the action on 730 The Game and www.CharlotteKnights.com.
