(JACKSONVILLE, FL) - The Charlotte Knights concluded a six-game road series against the Jacksonville Jumbo Shrimp with a 5-2 loss on Sunday night from 121 Financial Ballpark in Jacksonville, FL. Despite the loss in Sunday's finale, the Knights won the series, four games to two.

Charlotte's lone two runs of Sunday's game came on solo home runs. Catcher Carlos Pérez launched his ninth home run of the season in the top of the second inning to put the Knights on the scoreboard.

Two innings later, Chicago White Sox infielder Elvis Andrus hit his first home run of his major league rehab assignment. Andrus tallied two of Charlotte's six hits on the night.

RHP Luke Farrell started Sunday's game and allowed two runs on three hits over three innings. LHP John Parke (1-1, 5.40), who was activated off the injured list before the game, came on in relief of Farrell and was saddled with the loss. Parke gave up three runs on seven hits over three innings pitched.

The Knights will now have an off day on Monday before opening up a six-game homestand on Tuesday night against the Nashville Sounds (Triple-A affiliate of the Milwaukee Brewers). The "Voice of the Knights" Matt Swierad and long-time Knights broadcaster Mike Pacheco will have the call for all of the action on www.CharlotteKnights.com. First pitch of Tuesday's opener is set for 6:05 p.m. from Uptown Charlotte, NC.
