Knights Announce Two Roster Moves

(NASHVILLE, TN) - The Charlotte Knights announced two roster moves ahead of the team's road opener against the Nashville Sounds from Nashville, TN on Tuesday, August 15.
RHP Nick Padilla was activated off Charlotte's Injured List today. Padilla, 26, is 2-1 with four saves and a 5.67 ERA this season with the Knights in 32 games (33.1 IP). The Bronx, NY native has also made three appearances with the Chicago White Sox this season (0-1, 5.79 ERA).
RHP Alex Mateo was placed on Charlotte's Development List today. This season, Mateo is 1-0 with an 8.71 ERA in 27 games (one start) over 31.0 innings pitched. Mateo, 29, was originally signed by the Chicago White Sox as a free agent on February 10, 2021. After beginning this season with Double-A Birmingham, he was promoted to Charlotte on May 2, 2023.
