Knights and 'Pigs Game Suspended on Friday

Charlotte Knights News Release
(Allentown, PA) - Friday night's game between the Charlotte Knights and Lehigh Valley IronPigs at Coca-Cola Park in Allentown, PA was suspended due to inclement weather. Due to the fact that the Knights do not visit Lehigh Valley again this season, the game will be resumed when the Knights host the IronPigs at Knights Stadium during a four-game series from May 24-27. An official date on the resumption of Friday's suspended game will be announced at a later date.
Friday's game was halted with two outs in the top of the fourth inning with a runner at second base and a 3-3 score. The two teams sat through a one hour and four minute rain delay before the game was officially suspended.
Charlotte first baseman Dan Johnson put the Knights on the scoreboard in the first inning with a three-run home run off Lehigh Valley starting pitcher Pat Misch. The 'Pigs scored two runs in the second and a run in the third to tie the game.
Charlotte will now travel to Lawrenceville, Georgia to begin a two-game weekend series with the Gwinnett Braves from Coolray Field. LHP Charlie Leesman (1-3, 3.68) will start for the Knights in game one of the two game series.
The Knights return home to Knights Stadium on Monday, May 7 and will open an eight-game homestand.
