Lehigh Valley IronPigs News Release

(Allentown, Pa.) - Friday's game between the Lehigh Valley IronPigs and the Charlotte Knights was suspended in the top of the fourth inning due to inclement weather. The score was tied 3-3 when steady rain forced the suspension. Due to the fact that tonight's game marked the final meeting between these two teams at Coca-Cola Park in 2012, the game will resume at Knights Stadium in Fort Mill, S.C. during a series that begins on May 24. A make-up date for tonight's postponed Friday Night Fireworks show presented by Lehigh Valley Financial Group will be announced at a later date.

Due to the postponement, fans holding tickets to Friday's game can exchange each ticket for a ticket of equal or lesser value to any remaining 2012 regular season game at Coca-Cola Park. All ticket exchanges must be made in-person at the Coca-Cola Park Ticket Office (no phone or internet exchanges). Ticket exchanges are subject to availability. Fans with additional questions are asked to call (610) 841-PIGS (7447).

The IronPigs continue their homestand on Saturday at 6:35 p.m. with the first of a two-game set against the Syracuse Chiefs. Beverage Pitchers presented by Metro PCS lie ahead for the first 3,000 adults 18 and older attending the contest. There will also be a Cinco de Mayo celebration that includes music from El Grupo Mexicano de Lehigh Valley in the AT&T Plaza from 5:15 to 6 p.m. and $3 Corona's all game long in the brand-new Red Robin Oasis bar and other select locations.

The homestand comes to its conclusion on Sunday at 1:35 p.m. and the first 3,500 fans will receive a 5th Anniversary logo baseball courtesy of the National MS Society. Sunday games are perfect for families as Tootsee the Clown entertains and offers free balloon art for children. Immediately following Sunday's game, all children 12 and under can show off their speed with Kids Run the Bases presented by Lehigh Valley Health Network.

Tonight's game was halted with two outs in the top of the fourth inning with a runner at second base and a 3-3 score. Mike Fontenot's first home run of the year, a solo shot, had tied the game for the IronPigs in the third inning.

Single-game tickets and group tickets for all IronPigs home games presented by Capital BlueCross, are on sale now and can be purchased at the Coca-Cola Park Ticket Office, online at www.ironpigsbaseball.com or by calling (610) 841-PIGS.

The Lehigh Valley IronPigs are dedicated to providing family-friendly entertainment and are the only Minor League team to offer bubbles to fans entering the AT&T Plaza and balloons for all children exiting Coca-Cola Park.
