Knicks Acquire Gilder-Tilbury; Waive Smith

WHITE PLAINS, NY - The Westchester Knicks, the official NBA G League affiliate of the New York Knicks, announced today that the team has acquired forward Kavin Gilder-Tilbury and waived guard Kendall Smith.

Gilder-Tilbury, 6'7, 210, was originally picked up by Westchester prior to the start of Training Camp and waived by its conclusion.

The forward has spent the last two seasons in Germany after graduating from Texas State in 2017. During his four-year collegiate career, Gilder-Tilbury averaged 10.8 points on 45.1-percent shooting, 4.0 rebounds and 1.4 assists in a little over 26 minutes per game. More recently with Rhein Stars Koln in Germany's second division, the Houston, Texas native averaged 13.6 points, 4.5 rebounds, 2.3 assists and 0.7 blocks per 29 games played.

Smith, 6'2, 240, appeared in three games for the Knicks averaging 2.0 points.

The Knicks host Wisconsin on the frontend of a back-to-back, today, November 22 at the Westchester County Center at 7 PM ET.
