Clippers Take Down Skyforce

ONTARIO, Calif. - The Agua Caliente Clippers (4-2) come from behind to take down the Sioux Falls Skyforce (2-3), 98-87, on Friday night.

Johnathan Motley led the Clippers' late surge, scoring 15 of his game-high 29 points in final quarter. He also grabbed 13 rebounds, finishing the game with a double-double.

Sioux Falls struck first, opening the game on an 11-2 run, but the Clippers stayed persistent to even things at 24 to end the first quarter. After falling behind by as much as 13, a deep three-pointer by LA Clippers assignee Mfiondu Kabengele brought Agua Caliente to within one to end the third. Johnathan Motley would then hit a short jumper to open the fourth, giving the Clippers a 68-67 advantage, their first since the 24.6 second mark in the opening quarter, and the team would pull away to seal the victory.

James Palmer Jr. recorded a double-double of his own, scoring 27 points on nine-of-14 shooting from the field to go along with 11 rebounds.

The Skyforce were led by Jeremiah Martin's 23 points on 9-of-16 shooting off the bench. Two-way player Daryl Macon would add 22 points and five assists.

The Clippers are back in action on Sunday afternoon, hosting the Stockton Kings in a divisional showdown. Tip-off is at 3 p.m. PST inside the Toyota Center in Ontario, Calif.
