FLORENCE, KY - The long ball was used early in both ends of the double header as the Kalamazoo Kings won two over the Florence Freedom Wednesday night at Champion Window Field.

Justin Pickett doubled home Tim Grogan in the bottom of the first inning to cut the lead to 2-1. But Vancil walked the first two to begin the top of the second and both later came in to score to make it 4-1 Kings.

Brad Hough (8) turned it back into a one run game with a two-run homer in the bottom of the second.
